SYNERGY Senior Dining and Hospitality Conference, its contractors, and attending news media may be photographing or videotaping sessions and events at the conference. By attending the SYNERGY Senior Dining and Hospitality Conference, attendees acknowledge these activities and agree to allow their image to be used by the SDA in association publications, on the conference website, and in marketing and promotional materials. Attendees at the SYNERGY Senior Dining and Hospitality Conference waive all claims against the conference for any liability resulting from these uses.
SDA is committed to providing a professional, welcoming, safe, and respectful space during our in-person and online events, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, religion, disability, and/or other differences. Our Attendees bear equal responsibility for creating a safe and welcoming environment for participants.
The Code of Conduct outlines what behavior is expected of Attendees, and what behaviors will not be tolerated. All Attendees at any SDA in-person, or online function are expected to abide by this Code.
As a participant at the Senior Dining Association (SDA) event, you are agreeing to a commitment towards maintaining a healthy and safe environment.
WRITTEN REQUESTS FOR ATTENDEE CANCELLATIONS OR REFUNDS MUST BE POSTMARKED ON OR BEFORE March 1, 2024. NO REFUNDS will be given after March 2, 2024. Tickets are transferable within your organization.
E-mail all written cancellations to Kathie Ritterson at email@example.com . The SDA has the right to cancel any registration for any reason deemed by the association. Registrations will be refunded less a $100 processing fee.
SDA may provide credit vouchers if the program is affected by circumstances beyond its control, such as internet service interruptions, power outages, or cancellations or modifications to national health pandemics.
The SDA is committed to making our activities accessible to all individuals, as determined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) . Please contact us before the conference if we can help accommodate any special needs.
Sessions are subject to change. No individual may electronically record or broadcast any portion of the conference without prior written consent of SDA. The SDA reserves the rights to any approved audio and video production of presentations.
I understand and acknowledge that my participation in Senior Dining Association ("SDA”) events may involve certain risks, including the possibility of loss or injury. I hereby waive and release any claims that I may have against the SDA, its employees, members, and representatives.
I also acknowledge that the SDA may, at its discretion, capture photographs, videos, or recordings of conference and training events, which may include my likeness or participation, and may use them in SDA news or promotional material, whether in print, electronic, or other social media, including the SDA website (www.seniordining.org). By participating in SDA events, I grant the SDA permission to create, use, and distribute such materials, and I waive any rights to seek payment or compensation for such use.
Additionally, I acknowledge that the SDA cannot be held liable for adverse reactions to food, items, or interactions with other individuals during Synergy Dining & Hospitality Conference & Expo-related activities. I understand the importance of informing exhibiting companies and service staff of any food/dietary allergies to help identify potential allergens. Due to the variety of samples and meals served and the number of ingredients used, it cannot be guaranteed that all allergens will be identified and labeled. Consumers with food allergies should be aware of this risk.
I acknowledge that I am participating in SDA events and activities of my own free will and understanding that physical injury may occur as a result. I take full responsibility for my well-being and safety during these events.
I also understand that SDA plans to capture photographs and video materials at its events for educational, news, or promotional purposes, including websites. By participating in these events, I grant Senior Dining Association the right to use my name, photograph, and biography for such purposes. All materials become the property of (SDA) Senior Dining Association, which may display, distribute, or use them for any purpose.
Furthermore, I agree to release, defend, and hold harmless Senior Dining Association and its agents or employees, including any firm publishing and/or distributing the materials, from any claims, damages, or liability related to the use of the photographs, including but not limited to any misuse, distortion, alteration, or production of the finished product, whether known or unknown to me. I waive my right to inspect or approve the finished product.
By participating in Senior Dining Association events, I acknowledge and agree to the terms of this combined Liability and Photography Waiver.
By registering and / or attending SDA events, I hereby agree that I accept the terms stated above and indemnify and hold harmless the Senior Dining Association its affiliates, and their respective employees, and agents (including, without limitation, any agent acting on its behalf) from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) resulting from attendance at SYNERGY Senior Dining and Hospitality Conference.
